Grayson Ready For Barcelona B Clash

Simon Grayson is looking forward to Huddersfield Towns last pre-season friendly before the competitive season starts against Preston North End in the Capital One Cup. The terriers will host Barcelona B at the John Smiths Stadium on Wednesday night and Grayson cannot wait to see how his team can fair against a team full of next generation football stars.

Here is what Grayson had to say about the pre-season friendlies and Barcelona B when he spoke to the Examiner earlier today;

"I believe they will be similar in standard to a Championship side, and it will be interesting to pit ourselves against them. We've tried to vary the opposition in order to provide different types of games, but I've never been a fan of playing a side from the same division in pre-season."

"I think facing Barcelona will be like playing a Championship game, and it's going to be intriguing for the management and players as well as the supporters. We've tried to get friendlies which are fairly close, but it's good to have a home game and great to give our fans the chance to see our new signings as well as some of the rising stars of the European game."

The club is without a pre-season victory under Simon Grayson but will hope for good performances and decent results when they play Chesterfield on Tuesday & Barcelona B on Wednesday.
