What To Expect From Bristol City

Bristol City come to visit The John Smiths Stadium on Saturday and as always we went in search for one of the opponents fans to give us an insight into what to expect from them. So step forward Jess Ashton, a loyal City fan who has stuck with the club through both thick & thin. Bristol City seems to run through her blood and this is what she is expecting from her side come the weekend;

"We haven't exactly been on the greatest run recently, with no wins in 7, Huddersfield Town will almost definitely be the favourites to take all 3
points. Our last win here was back in 2003 with a 2-1 victory when Danny
Wilson was still in charge, with the last few meetings between the sides
ending in draws."

"Our current squad is full of talent, with Albert Adomah down the wing as
well as Steven Davies and Sam Baldock up front, we have the almost perfect
attacking force except we can't say the same for our defence. That's been
our downfall recently and I'm sure Huddersfield will be out to take
advantage of this, seeing as we haven't kept a clean sheet all season I'd
take a 0-0 draw right now. But we seem to be shipping and scoring goals for
fun so I'd expect at least 2 goals in this match, whether they're for or
against us I don't know."

"We have a lot to prove on Saturday and it is a pretty big match for both
sides, us because we need to the 3 points desperately to get our season back on track but Huddersfield as well in order to keep up with the pace of
Cardiff and Leicester."

"Derek McInnnes got appointed in October last year and his first job was to stop us from being relegated; which he did. When he was appointed not a lot
of us had heard of him before with him previously managing St. Johnstone as
well as having a playing career within the English leagues, most prolifically with West Bromwich Albion. He promised at the end of last season that we wouldn't be in a relegation dog fight ever again whilst he was still in charge, now whether this year is a repeat of the last few seasons or not we're all still yet to find out."

"We had a great start to our
home form this season compared to the last, winning both our back-to-back
home games over Crystal Palace and Cardiff City (which was particularly
enjoyable) as well as scoring 8 goals in those two games but only conceding
3. After those victories we all thought 'right we can go for promotion' but
that push never really happened, so far we've only won 3 games this season
with the third coming over relegation favourites Peterborough, and even then
we couldn't keep a clean sheet."

"Hopefully on Saturday we'll be able to start afresh and kick start our
season so I'm going for a 2-1 win, with Steven Davies and Ryan Taylor
getting the goals! COYR!"

Thankyou Jess for giving us an insight into what to expect from Bristol City on Saturday. It sure will be an entertaining game as we welcome back former Huddersfield Town striker Jon Stead!
