What To Expect From Leicester City & Players To Watch Out For

So how do Leicester City fans think their team will fair against Huddersfield Town tonight when the Foxes visit The John Smiths Stadium? We found out exactly what players the terriers need to watch out for tonight as well as how Leicester City have started the current season in The Championship. Luke Pawley gave us an insight into the Foxes from a fans perspective;

The Foxes have had many ups and downs throughout the past few years, and this hasn't changed this season. After eight games, City have won five and lost three. Four of those victories came from the four games held at King Power Stadium this season, with the other one coming in our most recent away trip to Middlesbrough. These stats reflect our inconsistent start to the season.

Our biggest outfield threat is former Pompey frontman David Nugent. He is our joint leading scorer so far this season, bagging all four of his goals in our two most recent home games. The scouse striker netted sixteen times for the Foxes last season. He connects well with partner Jamie Vardy, signed for £1m from Fleetwood Town, who has also scored four times this term. Another player to watch out for is another of this year's summer signings, Anthony Knockaert. He is a magician on either wing, and his rabona flicks and stepovers can knock any full-back for six. The French media have recently published reports, saying how shocked they are that the top French clubs missed out on this previously unearthed gem.

And finally, there's Danish International, Kasper Schmeichel between the sticks. He was last season's 'Player Of The Year' and 'Players' Player Of The Year'. The young 'keeper, son of Manchester United legend Peter, saved four penalties last season and made some vital saves to keep us in the game at times. He will be difficult for any attacking player to penetrate.

Other players to look out for are Sean St Ledger, Marko Futacs, Ben Marshall and Andy King, who have all gained international experience this season.

From a Leicester City perspective, I think we have enough attacking threat to defeat the Terriers on Tuesday night, by three goals to one. Overall, I think we'll finish the season in 4th, and will win the play-offs to achieve our long term dream of Premier League football.
