Grayson's Opinions On Lee Clark

The terriers will clash against Birmingham City on Saturday in a game which will see ex-Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark fighting to get three points against his previous team. Grayson succeeded in getting Town promoted after taking the reigns from Lee Clark in February but Simon has always praised Clark for creating the foundations at the club for him to complete the promotion challenge;

"The two of us have had a good relationship ever since I was managing Leeds and he was here. We saw each other often and obviously we spoke a lot when Alex Bruce went on loan from Leeds to Town last season. And when I got the job here he wished me all the best."

"Lee put together a good squad to try and get this club out of League I and some of the players he brought in have flourished in the Championship. From my point of view it's about us going there and working very hard to try to get three points."

St. Andrews will be a stadium full of fans with mixed emotions about Lee Clark. Town fans still debate regularly amongst themselves as to if Clark did a good job at the club and if his sacking was justified. Furthermore, Birmingham City fans will be split down the middle regarding their current manager. His short time in charge has already been full of ups & downs as inconsistency has been seen in his results. A 5-0 defeat at home against Barnsley got many Brum fans calling for his head but a gutsy win against Brighton & a decent performance against Cardiff has seen Lee Clark buy more time to work his managerial expertise at the club.
