Southern Confident In Striker Partnership

Keith Southern has given his public backing to both Vaughan & Beckford ahead of the home tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Southern was full of praise for the striker partnership that caused Birmingham City so many problems in the terriers last competitive outing and he is confident that if they both remain fit then they will both score goals;

"They were very effective against Birmingham and hopefully they can make the same kind of impact against Wolves. You see Jermaine in training every day and realise just how much pace and power he has. And he's a great finisher into the bargain."

"As a team, we need to make sure we give him the right kind of supply and Vaughany certainly did that down at Birmingham. We missed James when he was out with his groin injury and it's great to have that enthusiasm and energy to call on. He runs for fun, wins headers, holds the ball up well and can score goals, a bit of everything really and it's good to have him back."

Beckford & Vaughan are expected to be named in the starting XI for the game aghainst Wolves as they both look to add to their goal tallies.
