Antony Kay Season Long Loan Rejected

Announced today by local newspaper The Examiner is that Huddersfield Town have rejected a season long loan for midfielder Antony Kay. The club which has made the offer is yet to be named but we do know it was not Lee Clark's Birmingham City neither was it Kay's former club Tranmere Rovers.

The midfielder that can also do a decent shift in the defence has one year remaining on his contract with the terriers after being brought into the squad three years ago under Lee Clark. He has gone on to make 119 appearances for the club which has seen him score ten goals. Kay is expected to leave the club this transfer window but it seems like the salary cap which is now in force may see him remain at Huddersfield until his contract runs out.
