Grayson Raring To Go After Week Break

Huddersfield Town manager Simon Grayson and his team have had a full week off playing competitive matches but the boss has stated that he is raring to get the game against Derby County started. He spoke exclusively to the terriers yesterday & here is what he had to say;

"It's been a nice break and has allowed one or two players to recharge their batteries – we've got one or two niggling injuries sorted on the treatment table. I'm glad that the international boys have come back in one piece as well!"

"We've had a good week's build-up to the Derby game and the break probably came at a good time for everybody. We've taken stock of our situation and now we're ready for a tough game at the weekend. This is a tough division, both physically and mentally, and we have stages that come along when we're playing Saturday-Tuesday. When you get an opportunity to rest the players you have to take it and we have a lot of games coming up this month."

Grayson also took the chance to inform everyone about the two injuries in the Town squad at the moment. Scannell & Lynch are doubtful for the game on Saturday but Grayson isn't writing both players off just yet;

"Sean and Joel did work with us this morning and we're pleased they are back out on the training ground. We'll assess them on Friday morning to see if they are fit enough to play at the weekend. 'Scanz' has been out for longer than Joel with his hamstring injury suffered at the Burnley game and so he hasn't trained as much, but we'll see where we are."
