Danns Looking To Push The Terriers Up The Table

Danns has joined the terriers on loan until the
end of the current 12/13 season
Neil Danns has assured Huddersfield Town fans that the club can still compete for a play-off spot this season despite a poor run of form which has seen them slip down the Championship league table. The terriers have recently gone ten games without a win before battling hard to defeat Charlton by one goal to nil and Danns knows exactly what is needed in this league to pick up vital points.

Neil Danns had this to say in his first interview as a Huddersfield Town loan player;

"I haven’t just come here to help the team survive in the npower Championship; I have got my eyes set on helping the team get up back towards the play-offsWe are still in the mix, with loads of games to play and thankfully I am feeling match fit after my loan at Bristol City. I enjoyed my time at City, but I am looking forward to this new challenge."
Danns will already be settling in quite well at Huddersfield as he has previously alongside four of the current Town squad. Alan Lee, James Vaughan & Sean Scannell all know him well from their time at Crystal Palace whereas Beckford has played in the same team as him at Leicester City;
"There are probably too many players to name that I know already. That will make the settling in period a lot smoother and quicker. I just can’t wait to get going and start playing football. Dusty’ brought me through as a youth team player and helped me make my debut at Blackburn. I have always kept in touch with Ian throughout the years and he is a person that I hold in high regard.It wasn’t just me that he helped become a professional, he helped a lot of my friends make the step up and I am looking forward to working with him again."
