After being signed from Derby County towards the end of the transfer window,
he had a lot to prove. We already had 3 strikers at the club (soon to be 5 in total after the signing of Sam Baldock) but more importantly 2 of these strikers played a very similar type of play to him, these being Jon Stead who practically saved us last season and Ryan Taylor; nicknamed Ginger Drogba. So far he's our top scorer after scoring 6 goals in just 11 appearances, with one of those being a must see over-head kick vs Bolton Wanderers as well as a cracking 25 yard free-kick vs Burnley at home. He is a well known free-kick specialist, with a majority of his goals coming from
these, so be warned!
